Anniversary Sunday

January first marks the fifth anniversary of "New St. Paul's," when Wanstead United and St. Paul's amalgamated. To mark the occasion we'll be celebrating with some stories from 'the old days,' looking ahead to a bright future, enjoying some favourite music, and gi ving thanks for the vibrancy of this new community of faith. Following the service we'll continue the celebration over a festive pot-luck lunch, and dedicate the refurbished and renovated auditorium as "Wanstead Hall." Everyone is welcome! #Sermon

The In-between times

In a few short paragraphs, the Bible jumps from the Annunciation (when Mary learns she's pregnant with Jesus) to Jesus' birth at the Nativity. Most parents (especially the women!) would consider that short-changing the miracle and work of the nine months in between. What was Mary thinking during those nine months? And why do we always want to jump to the destination, rather than lingering over the journey? Join us as we reflect on the in-between times on Sunday at 10:30. #Sermon

Community Carol Sing

Meet your neighbours, old friends and new, at St. Paul's on Thursday the 14th at 7:00 p.m. for an old-fashioned Carol Sing! We'll sing lots of favourites -- from Frosty to We Three Kings, from Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree to Silent Night. Eclectic, to be sure! And, there will be games and treats. Free for everyone (but if you can bring a donation to the Bluffs Food Bank, that would be awesome)! #Event #event

Advent II

"There's a Voice in the Wilderness," The story of John the Baptist wandering in the wilderness haunts us today, as we try to listen through the noise and maelstrom of our society for truth and wisdom, kindness and compassion. This Sunday, Advent II, we'll reflect on the this theme, as we continue our journey toward Bethlehem (and listen to the kids reprise Little Drummer Boy!). #Sermon
